Spring Mo'edim - Redemption and Renewal

The Spring Mo'edim -

Redemption and Renewal

Three spring festivals occur in Aviv (Nisan) and overlap and run into each other: Pesach (Passover), Chag Hamotzi (Unleaved Bread), and Yom habikkurim (Firstfruits). The fourth and final spring feast is Shavu'ot (Pentecost). Shavu'ot is held seven weeks (or fifty days) following the morning after Pesach.

Spring - Aviv

calendar

The spring holidays of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits are a portrait of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Messiah: Yeshua was crucified on erev Pesach, buried during Chag Hamotzi, and was resurrected on Yom Habikkurim (Firstfruits). Shavu'ot (i.e., the feast of Pentecost) was the day the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) fell on believers in fulfillment of the promise given by our Lord. See the links below for more information.

Spring Mo'edim - Deliverance
